Trivia

• This is one of the oldest routes to ever exist in the game, along with Route 1A.
• This route is the first route to appear when choosing routes in the old route selector, therefore making it one of the most popular.
• When you reach the terminus for this route, you must do a U-Turn to get to the start of the route. This is the same with routes 1A & 1B, except 1B does it the other way round.
• Because of a vote that took place on the Canterbury Discord Server, this route, 1A & 1B are due to be renamed to and replaced by Routes A, B & C as part of the Appleton extension to "simplify the network" and "offers the opportunity for route branding/advertising" as described by the owner of Compass Group.
  • However, Compass made, what seems to be a mistake, on a Twitter post which says that this route will be changed to C instead of A.
    • As a result, some have theorized that the 1A will be labelled as A and that 1B will be labelled as B. Others have theorized vice versa while others simply waited for Compass to address the mistake.
  • Everything changed when the A/B/C was renumbered to 1/2/3 for the extension after yet another poll, meaning that this route will remain as 1, while 1A and 1B will be renumbered to 2 and 3 respectively.
